Dishwasher Not Cleaning? Filters First
Dirty dishes after a full cycle usually mean a spray, filter, or water-temperature fault, not a dead dishwasher.

Clean the filter and spray arms
Remove the filter, rinse it, and check the spray arm holes for food and scale. A blocked arm leaves the same dirty patch on every load, which is a useful clue.
Water temperature and detergent
Water that is not hot enough will not clean well, whatever the detergent. Run the hot tap at the sink before starting the dishwasher, and use the dose the detergent maker suggests, not more.
Loading matters more than people think
Nesting bowls and tall items that block the spray arm will come out dirty even in a healthy dishwasher. Leave space for the arms to spin.
