Washer Not Draining? Start Here
A washer full of water is stressful, but the cause is often a blocked filter or pump, not a dead machine.

Don't see your brand? No problem - we work on all major makes and models. Call (615) 583-1836 and we'll take it from there. Brand names are used only to identify the appliances we repair.
Check the drain path first
If your model has a pump filter you can reach, check it for socks, coins, and lint, with a towel and a shallow tray ready. Check that the drain hose is not kinked behind the machine.
What the sounds tell you
A pump that hums but does not drain may be jammed. A washer that is silent may have a lid switch or pump fault. A washer that drains slowly may have a partial blockage.
When to stop and call
If water is leaking, turn off the water supply and unplug the machine if it is safe to do so. Do not keep running drain cycles on a washer that is already full - it can flood the laundry room.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my washer stop full of water?
Usually a blocked pump filter, a kinked hose, or a failed pump. The filter is the cheapest place to start.
Is it safe to bail it out?
Yes, with the power off and a bucket. Mop up around the machine so no one slips, and keep the drain hose in place.
Front loader or top loader?
Front loaders drain through a pump and filter. Top loaders can also have a lid switch fault that stops the drain and spin. Tell us which you have.
When is it not worth repairing?
A tub bearing fault on a washer over 12 years old is often the point where replacement makes more sense. We will test before saying that.
